Born: Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, 1951

         Joan Catherine Sunstrum Zageris is captivated by the medium of watercolour and puts its exciting characteristics of fluidity and  transparency to use in painting her favorite subjects in a realist style. Her studies of plants, trees and familiar outdoor scenes make use of the serene qualities of watercolour to express in a light-filled manner her love for nature.
