Joan Zageris is a Canadian watercolourist who has been painting for the past thirty years exclusively in watercolour. In 2006 she was elected into the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC) and the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA).

Exploring the fascinating world of watercolour Joan uses its unique characteristics of spontaneity and transparency to express the beauty of her surroundings. For twenty years she shared this passion for the medium through her teaching.

Joan Catherine Sunstrum Zageris is captivated by the medium of watercolour and puts its characteristics of fluidity

and transparency to use in a realist style. Her studies of plants, trees and familiar outdoor scenes make use of the

serene qualities of watercolour to express in a light-filled manner her love for nature.
